  • Swoon Cookies: The Story of a Rebrand

Posted by Meers on Tuesday | November 29th, 2011

Swoon bakes up irresistible custom sugar cookies that taste just as wonderful as they look. Formerly known as PS Sweets, the company engaged Meers to evolve their brand in a way that matched their aspirations.

The integrated branding effort called for a new name, color palette, logo, packaging, collateral and website. Swoon co-founder and co-owner Sofia Hudson admits changing the company she helped build is a little nerve-wracking, but she’s now at ease. “When we first came to Meers, we only knew we wanted to take PS Sweets to the next level,” she said. “Now that we’re knee-deep in the process of a rebrand, we know we made the right choice.”

Chosen as Kansas City’s best catering company by local newspaper authority The Pitch, Swoon needed their company image to reflect and amplify their premium product and excellent service. The Meers design team focused on their main areas of consumer contact that could convey the owners’ dedication to craftsmanship: business cards and the actual cookie packaging. Both feature letterpress printing, die-cuts and other sophisticated touches.

“Trust is everything in these situations and (company owners) Sofia and Lauren always believed in where we were leading them,” said Meers Creative Director Brent Anderson. “Now everything about their brand conveys something special. Swoon cookies are that much more desirable because of it.”

The new website is currently in design and development, but visit justswoon.com to get a quick taste of the new brand. If you’d like to try out their cookies firsthand (they make excellent holiday gifts!) give them a call at 913-687-6233.

I saw this project through Email Inspiration. I am so impressed! I love the intricacy of the work and especially how it stays clean and minimalistic. Truly a masterpiece in subtle design!
