John Kreicbergs
Director, Digital Strategy
Though originally a son of the Windy City and apart from a few collegiate adventures around the Midwest and cheery old England, I’m proud to consider myself a Kansas Citian through and through. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in music and a Bachelor of Music in clarinet performance, I later attended Northwestern University where I received a Master of Music in musicology. While my musicological interests run the gamut of styles, I found a particularly strong attraction and personal connection to the music of Soviet-era Russian composers as well as an academically fatal affinity for pop culture.
Before joining Meers, I built my career in advertising at Bernstein-Rein, Barkley, VML and Digital Evolution Group working on national and regional brands such as Burger King, McDonalds, Commerce Bank, Invisalign, Bayer Animal Health, Neebo, Clayton Homes, Hostess Cakes, BP/Castrol, Midas Automotive and more.
From foundational brand development to digital marketing – including website and mobile development to email, social and search programs – I believe in the practice of crafting holistic advertising strategies that lead to great work and greater results.
My passions? Brands that both talk the talk and walk the walk. Digital solutions that are true solutions and not simply jazz hands marketing driven by shiny object syndrome. The Kansas City Chiefs winning another Super Bowl in my lifetime. A hot band playing in a cramped venue to a raving crowd. These days I like to use my musical skills to keep my clients and internal teams in tune, on time and marching to the same beat.
